Hello Preschool
I have a hard enough time wrapping my head around global warming or the electorate. But imagine going to preschool with
A) no understanding of what a school is...only a faint recollection of a big building Jack goes to made out of cold, hard cinder blocks!!!
B) no idea what 'teacher' means or how one is different than day a zombie!
C) and never before being alone without mom, dad, nanna or a loved one.
No wonder after the first five minutes of open house Bronwyn whispered, "we can go home now, okay!" Her head must of been filled with white noise as she processed all that was hers and new!
But, the first day told a different story. Like Jack, once she reached the front doors of her new school she never looked back. Holding her teacher's hand she was filled with the excitement of a new person to trust, learn from and be adored by! She jumped right in to make new friends...though only girls (oh, Bronwyn!) And she wasted no time before giving her teacher a wish list of classroom supplies (need dress up, more dolls and a sandbox).
At te end of her first day she climbed into her car seat and declared it "a very, very good day!" I suspect there will be many more!

| Jack engaged in a serious conversation with this former pilot. Jack kept inquiring as to the voice commands to control the plane. The gentleman, equally serious, continued to explain voice controls did not exist when this plane was made. Jack finally said, "Let's reset this conversation, where is the GPS?" When the man responded there wasn't one Jack was DONE with this antiquated machine. ;) |

| When I returned Jack shared that he played over 15 games with Pop pop. I asked if it was fun. He said, "Kind of. It would have been more fun if he let me win one." Seriously Pop Pop? ;) ;) ;) |

| Jack has so many special memories. Mornings with Minnie and Maddie; his dates with Pop Pop and Minnie; playing games; reading books and just being loved! Thanks Mom and Dad...you did good with our boy! |

Happy Fourth!
Holiday traditions of cookouts, pool play, picnics and fireworks--all to celebrate the birthday of our country. I asked Jack a few patriotic questions to test his Independence Day knowledge.
Q1: What was America fighting for during the revolutionary war?
J: I don't know. Because the King of England was being unfair.
Q2: What do the stars represent on the American Flag?
J: Easy, the 50 states.
Q3: What do the stripes represent?
J: The original 13 countries. :)
Q4: What freedoms did the deceleration of independence give us?
J: Freedom to do whatever we want? (You wish Jack, ha!)
Q5: Who is our president?
J: Current is Presidemt O'bama. First was President George Washington and 16th was President Abraham Lincoln. (Someone paid attention in school last president's day!)
Q6: What is the president's job?
J: Oh, he is the big boss. He decides how to spend the money.
Q6: What is your favorite part of the Fourth of July?
J: Fireworks!
So, I've concluded my six-year old knows as much as most of us ;).

Princess Parade
To you these might be wooden discs. To an imaginative two-year old they are beautiful crowns for her princesses. I think the two-year old's way of thinking is much better ;)
