Happy Birthday Bronwyn!

Even writing this I am swallowing tears.  My baby is three!  I feel like this should be her first birthday...not the end of her toddler years!  I could not have wished for a more charming, beautiful, smart and sweet princess for a daughter.  Whether she is twirling her way through life (with an added karate kick here and there), squirrelling her way onto my lap during meal time; one upping Jack in a burping contest or flashing that "yea I know how to work it" grin on her father...she has brought nothing but smiles to our family and we all love her to pieces!  She is our family's princess!

So it is only fit that Bronwyn celebrate this milestone with her own fairy tale.  Bronwyn invited seven of her friends to her home to a fancy prancy princess party.

We rolled out the pink carpet for the arriving prince and princesses!

Anticipating the Royal Courts arrival!

Happy Birthday Banner!

Each princess picked her own crown (and swords were awarded to all princes)...

A carriage awaited the royal court...

Proving a box really is NOT A BOX!

Ooh...a Royal Feud!
The Following Royal Conference...

Wand Making Station

The Royal Family's Jewels (Bronwyn was so sweet and passed out rings to everyone!!!)

Dress Up Station

Special guest Belle paid a visit!

During story time Belle asked why Ariel wanted legs.  Bronwyn said, "So she could walk to the Dollar Store!"
Belle taught all the princesses how to dance, wave, courtesy, twirl and blow special princess kisses.  Bronwyn had a fancy coronation ceremony following a princess parade!

A rose for our rose!

Time for the Royal Banquet.  Pink lemonade with pink sugar rimmed glasses!  (blue straws available upon requets...though it was fun watching the men lick their pink sugar when they thought no one was looking ;)
Watermelon popcorn (we did serve fruit wands and crown sandwiches as well to balance all the sugar...)

The Banquet Hall!
Dessert Table
Awe...a closer look!  Yummy...

Princess cookies...and may I add that I am not cut out to work with fondant...there is a reason there are only six of these ;)
Belle lead the guest through a beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday.  I thought Bronwyn was going to cry out of happiness she looks almost overwhelmed with emotion.  She hasn't told me her wish yet...but I hope all her wishes come true (well until she is sixteen...hee-hee.)

Belle took a group picture prior to leaving us to get back to the Beast.

A very happy birthday girl!
Our princess guests left with one of these totes!
Her royal highness opened her gifts and she adored each and everyone!  She got a lot of Princess dolls and not a single duplicate!  She took her princess bear to dinner, Ariel crown and jewelry was her first box to be torn into, the jewelry box has had more play than a top 40 and her necklace from Nanna has been worn non-stop.
As her dad said, it may not be pretty but it comes with everything but indoor plumbing...She was truly joyous to receive this life size dollhouse (which luckily fit all those Disney Princess dolls she received!!!)

Wondering about Jack?  He and his friend were the "court jesters" for sure!
But Jack was happy partaking in some of the birthday activities ;)  He really wanted a hug from Belle (so did some of the Dad's...just saying!)
The party was as beautiful as she is.  Our Princess Bronwyn.  God Bless and may your life be 'Happy Ever After'...

Hello Preschool

I have a hard enough time wrapping my head around global warming or the electorate.  But imagine going to preschool with
A) no understanding of what a school is...only a faint recollection of a big building Jack goes to made out of cold, hard cinder blocks!!!
B) no idea what 'teacher' means or how one is different than day a zombie!
C) and never before being alone without mom, dad, nanna or a loved one.

No wonder after the first five minutes of open house Bronwyn whispered, "we can go home now, okay!"  Her head must of been filled with white noise as she processed all that was hers and new!

But, the first day told a different story.  Like Jack, once she reached the front doors of her new school she never looked back.  Holding her teacher's hand she was filled with the excitement of a new person to trust, learn from and be adored by!  She jumped right in to make new friends...though only girls (oh, Bronwyn!)  And she wasted no time before giving her teacher a wish list of classroom supplies (need dress up, more dolls and a sandbox).

At te end of her first day she climbed into her car seat and declared it "a very, very good day!"  I suspect there will be many more!
