Jack has been dealing with his emotions lately...namely frustration. Here's a few Jackisms to illustrate my point and then a video to exemplify it!
1) After being caught playing with the Lego Creationary toy that was off-limits for play Jack responded "I know, I know. I can't stop my brain from thinking about these Lego's. They are organized so well and well, you know I am just obsessed."
2) After he was told to clean them up, put them away and go upstairs to dress for school he says, "I feel like I am in trouble, more trouble than I should be and my bucket is quite empty." (he read the kids version of Fill my Bucket last month.) I replied, "Jack that feeling is called guilt and remorse." :)
3) Later in the morning I attempted to fill his bucket back up by giving him smooches and tickles, to which he said, "Kisses don't fill up my bucket mom, they just get my face all wet. Thanks for trying, though."
Now for the video. Jack is explaining why boredom leads to family dysfunction and concludes (off camera) that the only solution is for us to play with him all the time to ward off the boredom. I must warn you, if your blood pressure is prone to rise at the sight of monstrous, bratty, whiny angry boys you may wish not to watch. But do watch if you find angry, frustrated, flailing, wacky boys a bit humorous (as I do). If you look real close you will notice a certain vein in the forward pops...a feature anyone close to Pop Pop is all too familiar with ;) Oh, the anger within... so much rage for such a loved five-year old. Hee-hee.

LegoLand Atlanta
What is Legoland you ask? Combine Chuck-e-Cheese with Lego's and you get LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTER--Atlanta's newest "it" spot for Lego-obsessed boys and girls. Guess who got season tickets??? It really was a pretty cool place and Jack thoroughly impressed. Even Bronwyn found it thrilling. We must go back soon as I realize I got nada for pictures...guess I was enthralled with all the happenings as well. So what do you do at Legoland?
You marvel at the giant Lego structures and pose for pictures!
You shoot the evil Lego skeletons trying to attack Lego Kingdom while riding along in this big boat through the foggy trails. And then you jump on the only other ride and pedal your way up to a flying Dumbo kind of Lego ride!
I told you I got nada for pictures...
were you expecting to see the rides? oops!
Then you are shoved in a room of all these intricate Lego sculptures that resemble the popular landmarks of our city. It was really cool and I think Jack peed his pants a bit out of excitement.
We saw THREE 4-D Lego movies...Played on the biggest indoor jungle gym for miles...And of course we built...
and built...
and we built...
and built...
even Bronwyn built...
and then we raced cars...cars that we built...
So if you wondered how anyone could make an entire discovery center out of just Lego's...now you know...and did you know in Orlando, FL they have an entire AMUSEMENT PARK full of nothing but Lego's.
DON'T TELL JACK!

Bronwyn Milestones
You think we went underground since Christmas? Forgot how to type? Ran out of material for the blog? NAH!!! We've just been busy pulling Bronwyn off of every chair, stool, counter and shelf in this house. See what she's been up to for the last month or two...I finished putting a little milestone video together since she has so much to say and do! Enjoy.
February Catchup
February brought us:
Valentine's Day! Both kids felt the love. Bronwyn got a new Disney Princess Doll...Rapunzel and Jack got Lego's (shocking, I know.)
February brought us:
Wacky Wednesday. Jack's school declared one of the Wednesday's wacky and each child went to school in wacky attire. Jack created his own outfit. At end of the day he was royally ticked..."mom it is not fair to just pick one Wednesday arbitrarily (pronounced more like obituary) to be wacky Wednesday. Wednesday is either wacky or it isn't. Every Wednesday should be wacky Wednesday." (Kid just wants to wear underwear on his head more often.)
February brought us:
Gracie!!! Another fantastic weekend of spoiling Gracie to our hearts content. This year we hand mani/pedis together, went shopping and saw the greatest show on earth...the CIRCUS! Bronwyn LOVED the elephants and Jack LOVED the popcorn ;)

Ponytails! She will now forever be nicknamed Cindy Lou Who.
And February brought us:
Sweetie Tea! Jack's school invites all the moms for a sweetie tea! The kids sing us songs, serve us lunch and as you can see fill our buckets with lots of sweat touches. One questions on the place mat was "how old is your mom?" Everyone else had crazy answers like 5, 16, 100...but my smart boy says 40 (I still have a few more months, son...don't rush it, payback will be you know what!)

You Listen to Me Now
Bronwyn's speech is taking off. You can tell a lot about their personality by their first words. I kept a list of Jack's first words. Bronwyn is inching towards her 50-word milestone mark. Here's her lists in order:
1. Baby
2. Jack ( ja'ah)
3. Doggie (gee) for Buster :(
4. Daddy
5. Hi
6. Mommy
7. This
8. Ball
9. Balloon (ba'oon)
10.Bottle (bot which is now bot'l)
11.Boo
12.Bye bye
13.That
14.More
15.beepo (belly button)
16.Shoe
17.Pop pop
18.Milk (mil)
19.Thanks
20.Stinky
21.Eye
22.No
23.Wee
24.Ariel (aye-al)
25.Belle
26.Hello

28.Bath
29.Ouch

36.What's this?
37.All Done
38.Ear

46.Poopy
47.Belle
48.Duck
49.Topple
50.Bird
As a good percent are body parts you can get a sense of how she likes to spend her time. I have a strong suspicion her "obsession" with identifying body parts is her sneaky "excuse" for spending a good portion of her free time poking us in the eye and sticking her finger in our noses and ears. Little boogar.
I also notice she has a bit of a bias for 'B' words...wonder why...Ms. Bronwyn?

Christmas 2011
Merry Christmas!
This was the first year in my entire life I did not go to Christmas Mass. Why? Christmas Eve began with Jack getting sick in bed. An hour later, Mom was down. Two hours after that...Pop Pop and by afternoon, Minni was victim of the stomach flu too!
All I want from Christmas is some pepto bismol, pepto bismol, pepto bismol...
Santa was kind to us and the holiday was joyous in spite of well, all the icky stuff. Happy Birthday baby Jesus and Ho, Ho, Ho to all our friends and family!

Jack's Christmas Play
Today was Jack's first play...ever! So, maybe there is not an Oscar in his near future...but he'll bring a little smile to your face none the less...for just being Jack.
Favorite moments:
- Ezra's (the King) Home Alone moment.
- "Mary's" expression after she spots her mom in the audience.
- Sydney's "adjustment" of her tights. And her wave as she exits stage right.
- Jack's *multiple* wardrobe malfunctions
and drum roll please....
- Jack's "solo" (have to stay tuned to the end).
Bronwyn's turn in just a few more years!!! I can hardly wait. I promise to buy a tripod by then ;)

All I Want for Christmas...
are these 20 Lego figures...and...
Jack and Bronwyn visited with Santa last weekend. He made a personal stop in our neighborhood. Jack created a "list" for Santa. Technically it was a book. Consisting of five pages, stapled together--with 20 Lego stickers denoted each toy or mini figure he wants on Christmas morning. That's it people...just Lego's...twenty Lego's...I guess we can say Jack is thorough (or obsessive???) To sweeten the pot he drew Santa a cookie on the back of the book. Oh my!
Bronwyn adored the bearded elf. And he was quite fond of her too. She said something about wanting her two front teeth for Christmas. Since she has them already, Santa gave her four molars instead. OUCH! Thanks SANTA!

Happy Thanksgiving
What a Thanksgiving! This just isn't Jack's Holiday. Case in point:
- Thanksgiving 2009-- Trip home cancelled day prior due to double pnuemonia.
- Thanksgiving 2010-- Day after spent in hospital ER after quite the tumble down a staircase.
- Thanksgiving 2011--Sunday after spent at an Urgent Care center in Charlotte. Why? Pmneumonia...yes, again!
Jack and Bronwyn spent Monday before Thanksgiving at Stone Mountain
Bronwyn and Jack had a fancy Thanksgiving Lunch with Grandma and Grandpa at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Club
Dinner with Minni, Pop Pop Uncle Robby, Aunt Meg and the kids. Here's Jack with Mikey...playing dress up. Shocking, I know!
After Thanksgiving Jack got a whole day with the twins to celebrate their birthday!
Bronwyn joined Minni, Mommy and Daddy while we all braved the crowds the Friday after Thanksgiving. Here she is wondering, "where are all the deals?"
I don't even know what to say about this...except at least Jack is on top and not the bottom. Thanksgiving sandwich?
Bronwyn adored every relative she visited. But, Gracie and her had a special little bond.
