Ready or Not Here I Come...

Kids got me with a great hide-n-seek spot.  Quietest five minutes I've ever had ;)

Bronspeaks II

Telling me about her day:
"Nanna wouldn't let me go on the monkey bars.  (she said it wasn't safe)  But I could have used my big muscles!"

"Nanna put me on the swings.  I HATE the swings.  I have swings at home.  I don't have monkey bars at home.  She should let me do the monkey bars."

At bedtime:
"But I'm not tired.  (why you rubbing your eyes?)  My eyes itch but that is probably just my allergies..."

When trying to get Mom off the computer:
"Mom, get off the computer and come play with me!"  (yes, in one minute...) "I'll give you 20 seconds...ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN..........................................................................."

When "playing" the piano:
"Listen to me practice (pounding  lower keys) That's thunder or probably a dinosaur stomping...they sound they same..."

Under the Sea

Dinner and a Movie Night.  Our theme...fishies!  Why not, right?

Dinner: Fish Sticks.  With melons shaped like starfish.    

Movie: Finding Nemo.  Bronwyn's first time seeing it.  She was so sad when Nemo was caught and ironically spent the rest of the movie asking, "Where's Nemo?"  

Craft Project:  We made fish out of tissue paper and kids drew fish-themed pictures.  

Jack drew a mirrored scene.  On top is a Clone Trooper attacking some robot creature.  Under his feet is an underground water word with a fish attacking against a sea monster (that looks exactly like the robot above...but with tentacles.)

Bronwyn drew a less violent and less recognizable fish.  I wish I could interpret art...ha!

Hmm....wonder what tonight's theme will be?

Weeeeeeeeeee.....

Who knew Bronwyn was such a daredevil?  We spent morning at an indoor play zone.  I thought I'd be in the toddler section with her while Jack tackled the monster bouncy houses.  Turns out...Jack struggled keeping up with his sister...the spitfire.

Cleaning Jack's room I found a journal he made some time this year, titled...The Things I Love.
