Jack and His Green STRIPE!

Jack has earned his WHITE BELT for learning his seven magic words and attending three Karate Classes. This week he earned his GREEN STRIPE--which is recognition for learning some BASIC Karate moves. Here is the video...

Everyone will be pleased to know they are now working on the YELLOW STRIPE for Stranger Danger, at his last lesson he DID NOT run with the "stranger" for the puppy dog. Good job, Jack ;)

Twenty Questions Anyone?

Jack has a new phase...the QUESTIONING phase. Most kids I know just ask a lot of WHY questions. Sure, Jack does that. But his favorite questions are of a riddle nature. Now, I am not sure if it is an attempt at humor or if he is really trying to figure the world out. Here are his top riddle questions...have fun coming up with answers for these...Dad and I sure did (hee-hee.)

- What do you call a swimming pool without any water?

- What do you call a car without any wheels?

- What do you call a stoplight without any lights?

- What do you call a garbage truck without a cab?

- What do you call my marble run without any marbles?

- What do you call Grandma with Minni's head? (no joke he asked me this last night!)

- What do you call a dog without a tail?

You get the picture...what do you think a budding comic or a confused three-year old? HA!

Run Marbles, Run!

Jack purchased a marble run with some Valentine's dough way back in February. It has been a favorite toy since. Recently he began building more complex runs...but his true joy in toppling the runs after their use has never waned. A tiger never changes his spots, right? Check out his latest run...oh and yes, it is as much fun as it looks (not that I play with it or anything...she says looking away.)

Jack surprised us at dinner tonight (Chinese Take Out) with a rendition of a popular jingle. Can you guess what it is? Listen...

Jingle Bells. Guess Jack has Christmas in July fever.

Happy Birthday America

Jack celebrated the Fourth of July with a birthday cake for America, the Slip-n-Slide and a backyard firework show. He says the fireworks was his favorite thing about the Holiday. A true fan...shocking, I know...that Jack would be attracted to something with the word "fire" in it.

Our natural born fire fighter fought his impulse to extinguish the sparks and instead enjoyed the show, he had the "oohs" and "ahs" perfected.

Jack Starts Karate

T-Ball season is offically over. Check out Jack's family web album on Picasso to see recently uploaded pictures of Easter and his last T-Ball game.

Now it is time to move on to the next activity..."wipe on, wipe off!" Yes, Jack has joined the millions of Ralph Machio wannabe's and signed on for eight weeks of Karate--class is half an hour twice a week. He wears a size 00000 uniform (can you believe they make them that small?!?) He is the youngest and smallest in the class (not by our intent!) He had to audtion for the class and was one of the only three-year olds to make it in!!! Regardless he enjoys himself immensely! Here's some video of Class One...he is the NEW kid to the class...as will soon be apparent!

Jack getting permission to go on the mat.

Jack's instructor, Mr. Husband, starting the class.

Warm up and the day's physical lesson...self-defense (the umbrella exercise). Hi Ya!

Jack shows his comedic side unintentionally as the lesson of the day begins...STRANGER DANGER. Kicker is he doesn't even LIKE puppy dogs! HA!

Jack Runs to Mom and Dad when approached by a Stranger. What the...where are those parental units? Listen for his roar in the second half as he tries to get away from the Stranger...did you hear it?

He went to his second class the following day and seems to enjoy Karate very much! After attending three classes and completing a few skills he will earn his white belt. Hi ya!
