Jackisms Return

Jack has been dealing with his emotions lately...namely frustration. Here's a few Jackisms to illustrate my point and then a video to exemplify it!

1)  After being caught playing with the Lego Creationary toy that was off-limits for play Jack responded "I know, I know. I can't stop my brain from thinking about these Lego's. They are organized so well and well, you know I am just obsessed."

2) After he was  told to clean them up, put them away and go upstairs to dress for school he says, "I feel like I am in trouble, more trouble than I should be and my bucket is quite empty." (he read the kids version of Fill my Bucket last month.)  I replied, "Jack that feeling is called guilt and remorse."  :)

3)  Later in the morning I attempted to fill his bucket back up by giving him smooches and tickles, to which he said, "Kisses don't fill up my bucket mom, they just get my face all wet. Thanks for trying, though."

Now for the video. Jack is explaining why boredom leads to family dysfunction and concludes (off camera) that the only solution is for us to play with him all the time to ward off the boredom.  I must warn you, if your blood pressure is prone to rise at the sight of monstrous, bratty, whiny angry boys you may wish not to watch.  But do watch if you find angry, frustrated, flailing, wacky boys a bit humorous (as I do).  If you look real close you will notice a certain vein in the forward pops...a feature anyone close to Pop Pop is all too familiar with ;)  Oh, the anger within... so much rage for such a loved five-year old.  Hee-hee.

LegoLand Atlanta

What is Legoland you ask?  Combine Chuck-e-Cheese with Lego's and you get LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTER--Atlanta's newest "it" spot for Lego-obsessed boys and girls.  Guess who got season tickets???  It really was a pretty cool place and Jack thoroughly impressed.  Even Bronwyn found it thrilling.  We must go back soon as I realize I got nada for pictures...guess I was enthralled with all the happenings as well.  So what do you do at Legoland?

You marvel at the giant Lego structures and pose for pictures!

You shoot the evil Lego skeletons trying to attack Lego Kingdom while riding along in this big boat through the foggy trails.  And then you jump on the only other ride and pedal your way up to a flying Dumbo kind of Lego ride!

I told you I got nada for pictures...
were you expecting to see the rides?  oops!

Then you are shoved in a room of all these intricate Lego sculptures that resemble the popular landmarks of our city.  It was really cool and I think Jack peed his pants a bit out of excitement.

We saw THREE 4-D Lego movies...Played on the biggest indoor jungle gym for miles...And of course we built...

and built...

and we built...

and built...

even Bronwyn built...

and then we raced cars...cars that we built...

So if you wondered how anyone could make an entire discovery center out of just Lego's...now you know...and did you know in Orlando, FL they have an entire AMUSEMENT PARK full of nothing but Lego's.
DON'T TELL JACK!

Bronwyn Milestones

You think we went underground since Christmas?  Forgot how to type?  Ran out of material for the blog?  NAH!!!  We've just been busy pulling Bronwyn off of every chair, stool, counter and shelf in this house.  See what she's been up to for the last month or two...I finished putting a little milestone video together since she has so much to say and do!  Enjoy.

February Catchup

February brought us:

Valentine's Day!  Both kids felt the love. Bronwyn got a new Disney Princess Doll...Rapunzel and Jack got Lego's (shocking, I know.)

February brought us:

Wacky Wednesday.  Jack's school declared one of the Wednesday's wacky and each child went to school in wacky attire.  Jack created his own outfit.  At end of the day he was royally ticked..."mom it is not fair to just pick one Wednesday arbitrarily (pronounced more like obituary) to be wacky Wednesday. Wednesday is either wacky or it isn't.  Every Wednesday should be wacky Wednesday."  (Kid just wants to wear underwear on his head more often.)

February brought us:

Gracie!!!  Another fantastic weekend of spoiling Gracie to our hearts content.  This year we hand mani/pedis together, went shopping and saw the greatest show on earth...the CIRCUS!  Bronwyn LOVED the elephants and Jack LOVED the popcorn ;)

February brought us:

Ponytails!  She will now forever be nicknamed Cindy Lou Who.

And February brought us:

Sweetie Tea!  Jack's school invites all the moms for a sweetie tea!  The kids sing us songs, serve us lunch and as you can see fill our buckets with lots of sweat touches.  One questions on the place mat was "how old is your mom?"  Everyone else had crazy answers like 5, 16, 100...but my smart boy says 40 (I still have a few more months, son...don't rush it, payback will be you know what!)
