Off With Their Heads!!!

We had the honor of witnessing the Bar Mitzvah for our friend's son.  He did an amazing job!  He chose a costume ball as the theme for his reception.  Given Bronwyn called herself Alice for the better part of last year, our costumes were not too hard to pick out.

A little typecasting?

There was a life-sized Muppet at the party.  Bronwyn scaled Mom in .5 seconds and did not leave this position until he was gone.  Who knew Beaker was so scary?
Once he left, Rockin' Alice hit the dance floor and never left until the King of Hearts dragged her away from the parkay at 10:00 pm.  Even Wonderland Princesses can turn into Pumpkins!

Jack said my hair looked like a butt.   I was going for heart!  The King and I came in fourth place for the costume contest.  The kids came in FIRST PLACE!!!

Love is in the Air

Happy Valentines!

Bronwyn the Artist

Check these drawings out--from last month out!  I'll have to capture more as she has begun to add even more parts and details to her people!  Really impressive details for a 27 month old.  There are artist's in the family (just not ME!!!) so you never know...maybe a talent for Bronster Monster!  Can you guess which one is Daddy?

Mommy Son Date

Jack's school had a mother and son date night.  The theme...Reptiles.  Clearly, mom was not the focus here.  As it should be...the focus was on the sons!  Jack and I dressed for a safari (minus the lack of sensible shoes on mom's behalf.)  We joined his best school chum, Michael, and his mom for dinner.  Then we were off on a scavenger hunt that included  a hug from Bobby (school mascot), a hunt in the dark for candy and ended with a presentation from the reptile guy.

I hear the Daddy and daughter date night includes a disco ball, slow music and girls dressed in pretty dresses.

I would say RAW DEAL if it wasn't for the fact that any time with Jack one on one is treasured time!!!

Thanks for being a great date Jack.  I love you more!
