Bronwyn and Snow White

Last night, Bronwyn and I watched the tail end of Snow White.  She was so engaged, I grabbed the nearby camera to video her expressions...enjoy!

Bronspeaks I

Remember Jackisms...those funny comments from the mouth of a preschooler...sometime intentionally funny...but, more often not.  Bronwyn is following suit with her own brand of expressions.  We dub them--Bronspeaks.

1.  Gary while changing her diaper says, "I'm gonna get your legs!" To which Bronwyn coyly replies, "Don't Daddy!  I need those for dancing!"

2.  Bronwyn is calling Daddy by his first name.  Daddy told her only mommy calls him Gary.  Jack and Bronnie call him Daddy.  Bronwyn throws her hands in the air, squints her eyes and sings, "I mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy..."  Later she tells me, "I'll be mommy today and call Daddy Gary...ohhh!"

3.  I was growing impatient with Bronwyn during what should have been her nap hour.  Bronwyn said, "Don't be a bad-tempered queen anymore, be a nice, pretty mommy!"

Easter Bonnet

Oh if I could write a sonnet about your Easter bonnet....

Easter's On Its Way...

Did you know the art of decorating eggs dates back more than 60,000 years where decorated Ostrich eggs have been found (eww...)  And decorating eggs became an Easter Tradition adopted by the church in 1610 AD.  The eggs were traditionally coloured red to remind us of the blood Jesus shed.

Did you also know that hard-boiled eggs are 3785% tastier after you colour, sticker, write on and play with them?  Jack and Bronwyn do!!!

I Have an Idea

The scene is 5:30 am.

Bronwyn comes down the hallway saying, "Mom, I have an idea..."

With this in hand...

Night Fright

Bronwyn (2.5) was scared to bits by a man dressed as Beaker (the Muppet) at a costume party last month.  At bedtime she routinely flashes back to the horror.  Tonight the dialogue went as such...

B: "Beaker scared me mommy!"  (She says while clutching my face in her hands for dramatic effect.

M: "I know but he left..."

B: "Why did he leave?"

M: "Because he didn't want you to be scared anymore."

B: "Did I make him sad, mommy?"  (She appears genuinely concerned and has my face in a death grip forcing direct eye contact!

M: "No, he just wanted you happy."

B: "I want him to come back and talk to me." (by her tone i think she means right now...)

M: "You want to see Beaker again?"  (Seriously?)

B: "I want to see him but I don't want him to touch me.  He can't touch me, or mommy, or daddy, or Jack...ah...ah...he can touch Jack...he can touch Jack...but not me, mommy or Daddy!"

Poor Jack...he clearly is off the pedestal ;). So, want to know where you stand with the princess...just ask her if Beaker can give you a hug ;)

Birthdays, Fishies, and Eyebrows

What do those things have in common?  Bronwyn!  This month Bronwyn went to her first Birthday Party...at a jumpy house here locally.  My fearless daughter couldn't get enough of the slide!!!

Gracie came the same weekend.  Here the two beauties are at the Georgia Aquarium!

Bronwyn's amoeba people have grown eyebrows, tattoos and live in  bubbles now...go figure!
