Big Fan!

Last night while watching the frightening storms tearing up the southeast on television Jack said "Oh good a weather map.  You know mom I am a Big Fan of Fema guys!"

*hanging head and shaking it back and forth*

Hippity Hoppity

Easter Bunny is on it's way!

Bronwyn, a.k.a. mini Grandma!

Grandpa accomplished his mission...with use of headphones Jack enjoyed seeing all the power tools...even the air compressor!

Jack taking cue from the color kittens learned that an egg dyed orange, then blue, then green, then red, then orange again, a bit more blue and finally a lot more red is just an ugly egg.
Happy Easter!

The annual Easter Egg Hunt!  Jack collected seven!  (thanks Sam!)

Bronwyn enjoyed Easter brunch as she was passed around the table as much as Minni's delicious coffee cake.

DAdadaDAdaDADadaDADA

If you could translate this for me I would greatly appreciate it.  Oh and DADA will not count as a word until we hear a little MAMA more consistently, just FYI...

Reading, Writing, Arithmetic

In January when Jack moved from Montessori to a local play-based preschool at the church he was singled out for his inability to write his name.  Brought back terrible nun memories as in First Grade my teacher made me stay back at recess to practice writing my name while all the other kids played Red Rover, Red Rover.  Seriously cruel.  Well, in three short months of focusing at school on his writing skills this was Jack's work today...the name is sloppier than usual but he got his numbers down for most part (3 and 5 are reversed hence the circles).  Take that fine motor skills!  Congrats Jack on working so hard on your writing!

All that work has made him tired.  Get ready to snicker...Jack has given up naps but occasionally the day gets the best of him.  Here he is right before dinner. He wanted to sit to rest for just a minute...two seconds later he was asleep sitting up.  BAW!!!!

Those shorts are 2T...we call them his speedo shorts.  He loves them though so try not to sing Jack wears short shorts if you ever see him in them!  He doesn't like it :(  HA!

Princess Bronwyn's Pearly Whites

Can you identify the teeth in this picture.  How many do you see?

If you guessed two on the bottom you are now an official member of the Bronwyn Fan Club.  Congrats.

Jackisms Part V

  1. Gary was holding Bronwyn. Jack wanted to play with Daddy. Jack (with a charming smile): "Mom, take Bronnie and go about your biz'ness"

  2. I have a horrible upper resperatory infection and it spread to my eyes. I had my glasses on instead of contacts for first time in two years this morning. Jack: "Mom, why are you wearing glasses?" Mom: "Because I have an eye infection." Jack (after a few moments): "Does Dad get a lot of eye infections? Do glasses heal eye infections." Never dawned on me that for four years he has just accepted his Dad in glasses with no knowledge of why he wears those spectacles.

  3. Jack: "Dad, are you going to play police officer with me when you get out of the shower. After drying off and putting your clothes on." As if...

Beach Babies

SUCCESS! Have a Daiquiri in celebration with us! We did it! First we fit our entire household (practically) in the car. Then we made it six hours to Hilton Head with a baby who poops every thirty minutes since starting solids and enjoys her car seat as much as a claustrophobic enjoys an MRI. Next, we didn't lose either child on the beach in spite of Jack's incessant need to RUN, RUN, RUN! And finally no one got stung by a jelly fish though in video playback once home we spotted our four-year old poking one in the head *groan*. Yep, we had a successful BEACH vacation and the kids LOVED IT! Now, is it time for our grown up vacation? please?

As Jack entered the beach, feeling the sand for the first time under his feet he yelled, "This is the best time of my ENTIRE life!"

While the water was cold it didn't stop Jack from jumping waves...though the wave that went up his nose had him back on the sand pretty quickly *grin*.

Can you tell who that beauty is beneath the straw hat? Bronwyn loved the sand. She wanted to know where the "heated" ocean was, though.

Here is Bronwyn trying to nab the title of spokesbaby for all ocean sound machines that promise to lull infants to sleep for hours on end.

As alluring as the ocean is, Jack's attention was best captured by the world's largest sandbox.

Ah...a great vacation!

And for your viewing pleasure...

Sweet Potato Bronwyn

Did you know sweet potatoes, banana and apples pureed together is scrumptious. Here's Bronwyn insisting on me telling her the magic ingredient in her dinner medley.
